Rules based Document & Print management systems are the way most of the large corporations save tons of money. When you place document/print servers ( otherwise previously known as "printers" ) in common centralized locations and use them to serve large groups of users you save huge amounts of time, labor costs, & material costs. Thei all equates to a huge savings. Commonize & standardize, it makes sense in every degree

Dear Mr. King,

Thank you for posting our analysis. My name is Debra Pate, I am the Major Account Executive who has been working with LPS for several months on the copier/printer project. Unfortunatly Ricoh Business Solutions is not being recommended to the board by Mr. Fraser and Mr. Hosman, due to a pricing error that my corporate office made during the bid process. Since that error, Ricoh America Inc. has clearly stated to LPS that they made the error and would correct it by allowing both the Ricoh direct channel and in-direct channel to be equal on price. That being said, RBS also stated in the our bid response that we would re-nogotiate the service pricing if awarded the print shop business along with the copier fleet. Which would then make us lower then our competitors pricing. As you can see by the detailed information my team and I spent several weeks compiling and analyzing this data. I find it very frusterating that the copier committee wrote the bid to Canon specifications and is now taking the credit for our hard work. On top of that they are recommending our competitor who all along was pro-Canon and anti-Ricoh. In fact, we condensed several presentations into the document that you posted due to the fact that Mr. Hosman and Mr. Fraser requested this information showing why we felt the Ricoh product line and software was superior to Canons. Although I was unable to attend last weeks board meeting I did listen to the pod cast and was shocked to hear our "Feather and Hammer" philosophy used by Mr. Fraser when speaking about managing your copier/printer fleet. We have tried to approach them several times with additional cost savings for other area's within the school district but both Mr. Hosman and Mr. Fraser refused to engage with us after the bid opening. My hope is that the board will seriously reconsider allowing Ricoh Business Solutions to provide the hardware and software solutions to LPS. I believe we have not only earned the business but should be entitled to it now that the folks that are incharge of this project are SOLD ON RICOH. It's because of us not our competitor who sold against Ricoh with Canon the entire time.

Best regards,
